If you endure when you are beaten for doing wrong, what credit is that? But if you endure when you do right and suffer for it, you have God’s approval.

1 Peter 2:20

A Journey of Faith and Resilience

There are numerous ways to engage with this cherished psalm – singing, praying, reading, and more. It speaks to a universal longing for love, protection, and fulfillment. Discussing suffering is complex; we often compare our pain to others, causing guilt and hesitation. But Peter urges us to understand how suffering shapes us and how recognizing God’s presence in it grants us resilience. He emphasizes a guardian of the soul who intimately understands suffering and walks with us through it, not waiting for us to conquer it alone. This guardian is none other than Jesus, both the shepherd and guardian of our souls, offering hope and companionship in times of trial.
