Casting Your Cares

If you believe that worship should leave you feeling lighter and unburdened, this week is tailor-made for you. In 1 Peter 5:7 (NRSV), we’re encouraged to “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you,” a profound invitation in a text acknowledging suffering and discipline. Peter’s message centers on perspective; he doesn’t promise the problems will vanish, but he urges us not to let suffering control us.
