Latest COVID-19 Update – 2020-06-10
The Premier announced earlier this week that churches may re-open with 30% capacity. This is great news, and I am sure we are all anxious to be back together for worship. We will begin to put a plan together for re-opening. However this will take some time and the plan must be approved by The Salvation Army before we can gather in person. We want to ensure everyone’s safety and are grateful for your patience as we work through this process.
In the meantime we invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am via zoom for worship. If you would like the details for the zoom service please message us.
We are certainly disappointed to have to make these cancellations and even more that we cannot worship together. Be reminded that our Lord is not limited to this church building. Nor is the Church of God limited by a church building. The Lord is present with us and we are able to worship Him no matter where we are and be His Church to the world around us.
More information to come in the days ahead, but for now I want to leave you with these selected words from Psalm 27 “The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
One thing I ask of the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling: he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD, be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
In these days of uncertainty in so many areas we can be certain the LORD, our God is with us and we have no reason to fear. May you take this time to draw close to Him.
