Meadowlands Corps Band
The Meadowlands Corps Band was formed in 1883 and comprised of six men dedicated to play for the honour and glory of God. Today the Band numbers thirty five members and still plays for the honour and glory of God through the medium of brass band music.
The Band is extremely active in the City of Hamilton and surrounding area providing music for our own church services, in addition leading services at nursing homes and senior residences. The Band also provide, during the year, a number of concerts. Its members can also be seen and heard throughout the Christmas season providing music at the Salvation Army kettles.
The Band has toured extensively through the years in Canada and the United States in addition to two tours of the United Kingdom (1994 and 2004) and Bermuda (1996).
In recent years the Band has been featured at The Hamilton International Tattoo where it has had the privilege of bringing Christian music to thousands of people in attendance.
The ministry of the Band is paramount as it strives to be effective in its approach to its music making for the Lord. Each band member is committed to the Lord and the ministry of The Salvation Army.
