The Salvation Army Meadowlands Easter Programs

Come join us at The Salvation Army Meadowlands as we celebrate Easter with community involvement, vibrant worship, special music and dynamic guest speakers who will make the Bible passages of the Easter season come alive and relevant for each of us in 2019!

Palm Sunday – (April 14)

We will celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem with a special time of Praise led by a guest Worship Team. Our special guest speaker for the day, Loretta Hill-Finamore, is well known and respected in the Hamilton Social Service field for her current work with the Good Shepherd and her previous work with Salvation Army at Grace Haven. Having been through a journey to wellness herself recently, she brings a personal word of God’s sustaining love in what God has laid on her heart for today: “Come as you are.”

Good Friday – (April 19)

Everyone is invited to join us for a beautiful united service at Winterberry Heights Corps (300 Winterberry Drive, Stoney Creek, L8J 3Y1) at 10:30 a.m. Join us as we give praise to Jesus in thanks for His great sacrifice for our salvation.

Easter Egg Hunt – on Saturday, April 20

Meadowlands is holding our Free Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9:30)! The hunt is for all children ages 0 – 10; and there will be Easter themed crafts and activities for the kids, and refreshments for parents/guardians. Don’t miss out on this fun filled event! (Just remember to bring your own basket for the hunt!)

Easter Sunday – (April 21)

Join us at 11 a.m. for an awe-filled time of worship as we celebrate with vibrant praise of our Risen Saviour. Our special leaders for the day, Majors David and April McNeilly, Corps Ministries Secretary, and Territorial Director for Spiritual Life Development, bring with them more than a wealth of experience from service within the Salvation Army but also dynamic testimonies from their personal spiritual journeys with the Son of God who overcame the grave to bring them Salvation, peace, joy and hope in today’s troubled world.

We will also be holding an Easter fellowship brunch after the Easter worship service. The cost will be $10, and funds raised will go towards Partners In Mission. Be sure to let us know if you are attending beforehand, so we can ensure enough food is prepared.
